As regular readers well know, this List considers alto saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins and vibes player Joel Ross to be two of the best — hell, the two best — young players in mainstream jazz. Well, here they are.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Double Barrel : pour 1 oz. each of Rye, dry Vermouth, and sweet Vermouth, with 2 dashes each of Angostura and orange bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
