Martin Nevin’s compositions Sound In Jazz. But they drag rather than swing: an interesting sound. This is a song cycle to poems by Jonathan C. Creasy, a longtime collaborator.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Excellent cocktails, better food than you’d think, at Grand Army Bar. Streaming at home, have a Tipperary: pour 1-1/2 oz. Irish Whiskey, 1 oz. sweet Vermouth, and 3/4 oz. green Chartreuse into a cocktail shaker over ice. Stir (counterintuitively). Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with an orange twist.
