Not sure what the title of this recital has to do with the program, which consists of stuff in the European tradition: I guess nobody’s allowed to admit they play such things anymore. But I’m not complaining about a program that includes Debussy’s Petite Suite (transcribed for winds) and a rare airing of the music of the wonderful American Neo-Classicist Irving Fine.
