Another riff on Pygmalion — very much Shaw’s this time, since both he and Mrs. Campbell figure as characters — except instead of a statue transforming into a woman we have a sex worker hired to pretend to be a sex doll that had broke (bet you saw that coming). The two actresses who play the sex worker and the sex doll flip a coin onstage before each night’s performance to determine which will play which.
