Pianist/composer Sonya Belaya applies her Russian jazz/folk/some clasical to the effect of automatic patterns of thought on immigrant women. As always, the players she’s assemmbled are stellar.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, fancy Austrian at Koloman. Streaming at home, have a Moscow Mule: pour 2 oz. Vodka, 1 oz. dry Vermouth, 1/2 oz. Grenadine and 1/2 oz. lime juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a Mule mug over crushed ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge.
