Taktouka is a Brooklyn band whose members come or descend from various partos of the Arab world who take Arab folk materials and recast them as contemporary Alt Electropop.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, Mitchell’s Soul Food. Streaming at home, have a Red Hook: pour 2 oz. Rye and 1/2 oz. each of Punt e Mes (or Cocchi Dopo Teatro) and Maraschino liqueur into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
