When the Tallis Scholars entered the scene some 50 years ago, they brought a new purity and precision to Renaissance choral singing. Audiences could not believe the sheer beauty of it. Now, a new generation has emerged that emphasizes visceral impact and aural exploration over what they view as mere prettiness.
