To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the First Folio, Collectio Musicorum performs settings of songs from Shakespeare’s plays. (Have I ever told you that “Full Fathom Five” is one of my very favorite song lyrics?) (TBH, the best setting I’ve ever heard of “Sigh No More, Ladies” was as a bossa nova — not likely to be performed this afternoon.)
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, I’m not gonna even tell you what El Mil Sabores puts on their Torta Loca sandwich. You have to see it for yourself. Streaming at home, have a Serpent’s Tooth: pour 3/4 oz. Irish Whiskey, 1 oz. each sweet Vermouth, 1/4 oz. Kümmel, and 1/2 oz. lemon juice, with 2 dashes Angostura bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
