Charlie Parker and Stefan Wolpe were two of the best musicians working in Mid-Century American — even if one of them’s largely forgotten while the other’s revered. Hillard Greene & The Jazz Expressions do some Parker. The Momenta Quartet does some Wolpe (and his progeny). There’ll also be a lot of talking, for better or for worse.
