Vocalist/composer/performance artist with (really good!) flautist/composer explores alienation and healing relating to gender uncertainty (as opposed to the emptyheaded denialism of gender certainty — but that's a different piece).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: If you go to the venue, it'll be nice to walk around the corner to the welcoming and delicious Kind of Soul. At home, have a Southern Cross: pour 3/4 oz. each of Cognac and Rum, 1 oz. Cointreau, and 1/2 oz. lemon juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
