This is JG Thirlwell/Simon Hanes* week at Roulette. Tonight Thirlwell's in the lead, singing in front of a sextet (including guitarist/bassist Hanes) doing chamber-rock arrangements of music by Thirlwell's doomy electronic post-punk/post-rock solo project Foetus.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, comfort food at Kind of Soul. Streaming at home, have a Kingston Negroni: pour 1 oz. each of overproof Jamaican Rum (like Smith and Cross), sweet Vermouth, and Campari into a rocks glass over ice. Stir. Garnish with an orange twist.
