Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (Thursday this week) the Jazz Gallery is putting on early evening remote sessions where jazz musicians play and chat with the audience (limited to 10 people per show).  Harish Raghavan is a really good, forward-thinking bass player who's clearly going places.  It'll be very interesting to see what comes up with in a solo set.  Look at the Jazz Gallery's calendar for the future shows (I'll be Listing them selectively).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  We're going to Carroll Gardens:  Pour into an ice-filled cocktail shaker 2 oz. Rye, 1/2 oz. Punt e Mes, 1/2 oz. Amaro (whatever you have), and 1 teaspoon Maraschino liqueur.  Stir and strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupé.  Squeeze a lemon rind over the drink.
