Saxophonist Jaleel Shaw is earthy and soulful — another "in the tradition" guy who makes the music fresh.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  If you're going, see if you can snag a table at the NoMad Rooftop (or at least the fantastic bar, which has also moved up there).  Those watching at home can make a Midnight Stinger:  pour 1 oz. each of Rye and Fernet, and 3/4 oz. each of lemon juice and Simple Syrup, into a cocktail shaker with no ice.  Dry shake.  Pour into a rocks glass 2/3 full of crushed ice.  Shove in a straw.  Add more crushed ice.  Garnish with mint.
