Anthony Braxton, the king of jazz-becomes-classical. He sounds like Warne Marsh; he sounds like Webern; he sounds like Stockhausen. Ultimately, though, he sounds like nobody but himself. His music is played tonight by the JACK Quartet and Either/Or, so performance quality isn't an issue.
