The String Orchestra of Brooklyn's annual festival of 21st Century works for strings.  The opening night features a piece by the exemplary jazz-but-sort-of-classical composer (and pianist) Gabriel Zucker (warning:  there will be some wind instruments intruding) and a set by the hardcore/metal string quartet SEVEN)SUNS.  Wednesday features the Orchestra itself playing brand new pieces by avant-guitarist/composer John King and electronics madman J.G. Thirlwell, and a recent piece by sonic explorer Lisa Renée Coons.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  The familiar Building on Bond for a burger / Robert for cocktails double-play.
