This show is somewhat mysterious.  Sinkane is a tough-to-characterize musician, originally from Sudan but now living here in Brooklyn, whose music is an intriguing and compulsively listenable cocktail of prog, jazz, Krautrock, funk, and a dollop of Sudanese pop.  "Caparundi" was a very good song on a very good album he put out in 2012.  Now, he's apparently expanded it into a concert-length concept:  Caparundi is, he says, "a magical and colorful place where Africa, North America, South America, Asia, and the Caribbean blend together to create a new identity", where "[a]ll music and all peoples are welcome."  Expect it to all sound intriguing and compulsively listenable.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  There's a late show here tonight that's very much worth attending.  So what I say you should do is go to both -- and in between, walk over to the Delaware & Hudson Tavern* for wonderful beer, cocktails, and Mid-Atlantic food (either unbelievably good pub grub from the bar menu or more composed plates from the dining room menu).
