That excellent pianist Christopher O'Riley does his Cristopher O'Riley thing --Radiohead transcriptions, maybe some Nick Drake transcriptions, maybe some scraps of New Music, some classics, whatever -- while Basil Twist's wonderful band of puppeteers cause the Symphonie Fantastique puppets to accompany him in the tank behind.  A friend who saw a previous performance was enchanted -- and who wouldn't be?

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  If you haven't seen Symphonie Fantastique yet -- and you MUST! -- you might consider going to today's matinée before this evening's cabaret.  Whether you get some food and beverages before, between, or after the show(s), all-day Italian Café Altro Paradiso seems an obvious choice.
